FEES
RESEARCH FEES:
FILM Archives charges a fee for time spent locating, screening, selecting, and duplicating your footage. Research fees are billed at a single, all-inclusive fee of $50 per hour for assembling screening reels.
PROJECT & LICENSE FEES:
Clients are billed a minimum project fee upon shipment of a broadcast quality tape or film master. This fee is fully applied against any and all license charges. License (or usage) fees are based on THE ACTUAL AMOUNT OF FOOTAGE USED in the final cut. Discounts for quantity usage are available. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO KILL FEE OFFERED ON "PREMIUM" OR "FAST IMAGES" FOOTAGE. ALL "PREMIUM" OR "FAST IMAGES" FOOTAGE ORDERED WILL BE BILLED AT FULL RATE EVEN IF FOOTAGE IS NOT USED.
LICENSE MINIMUMS:
A minimum charge of 10 seconds per cut applies for all projects. All footage is billed at the rate(s) cited on our rate card, whether the full frame, sound track or any portion or modification of the footage supplied is used.
EXPENSES:
All video transfer, film laboratory, raw stock, messenger, final select preparation and shipping costs are billed to the client.
LATE AND LOSS PENALTIES:
Any original film, tape elements or duplicates not returned to FILM Archives within 48 hours of a project's agreed upon completion date will be billed at the rate of $100 per day, per item. If the item has been lost, client will reimburse us for the full replacement value of the subject.
CLIENT REQUIREMENTS:
Clients must send a written purchase order or authorization on company letterhead for all research and final footage requests and sign our standard licensing and usage agreement.* An exact report indicating the amount of footage used, description of the scene(s), and name of program must be rendered upon completion of editing. All charges are due within 30 days of invoice date.
*Agreement grants nonexclusive rights to footage. Footage can only be used in contracted project. FILM Archives Inc. makes no warranty or representation whatsoever with respect to provided footage other than that of the title. The licensee shall be solely responsible for obtaining any and all necessary clearances, waivers and permissions.
FIRST-TIME CLIENTS MUST REMIT PAYMENT PRIOR TO RECEIVING FINAL SELECTIONS.

PAYMENT OF FEES
First-time clients must remit all fees prior to shipment of final selections. All others must remit within 30 days for license to become valid. Client agrees to pay all ancillary fees associated with project. Client's invoice will be based on footage ordered for final edit, whether or not material is included in final edit.
